The 2025 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship will be held in Frisco and Allen, Texas, from April 23-May 3, 2025.
The 10-nation tournament, which features the best men’s players in the world under the age of 18, began in 1999 and will be played on U.S. soil for just the fourth time.
The U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team has won gold 11 times at the IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship and has captured six silver medals and three bronze medals at the competition. The U.S. won its first gold at the event in 2002.
At the 2024 tournament, the U.S. competed in Group A alongside Finland, Latvia, Norway, and Slovakia from Metro Arena in Espoo, Finland, and went 4-0-0-0 (W-OTW-L-OTL) in the preliminary round before defeating Switzerland, 4-0, in the quarterfinals and Slovakia, 7-2, in the semifinals. Team USA went on to face Canada in the gold-medal game, ultimately falling by a 6-4 tally to earn the silver medal.
